Annie Brown is a painter. Her focuses lie in colour as a vehicle for light. She also experiments with how a paint stroke can act in the two-dimensional context of a painting to enable the same feelings as it would the three dimensions of real-life experienced space. Brown likes for her beholder to imagine themselves experiencing objects relating to one another, this memory, not exact but experienced over and over in life before.
